Who We Are
The Amore Approach Inc Non-Profit (AMORE+) was created from a simple belief: where you live or what you can afford should not determine your access to compassionate, quality care.
Founded by Dr. Carlie Amore after years of serving communities through international dental and medical missions, AMORE+ grew from a desire to do more than provide care for a few days at a time. We want to create lasting change.
Our work brings together whole-person healthcare, education, prevention, and community support to meet people where they are. From our ongoing mission work in Ghana and Jamaica to future programs at home and abroad, we partner with communities and healthcare professionals to provide meaningful care while building solutions that can continue long after a mission ends.
At its heart, AMORE+ means love in action—using our skills, resources, and connections to care for people, empower communities, and create lasting global change.
What We Do
At AMORE+, we believe meaningful change happens when care goes beyond a single appointment or mission. Our work is centered around three pillars designed to meet immediate needs while creating a healthier future.
Community Care
We bring compassionate, whole-person care directly to underserved communities—meeting people where they are and helping remove barriers to essential dental and health services. Our goal is to make quality care feel accessible, personal, and rooted in dignity.
Global Missions
We support and participate in hands-on healthcare missions around the world, including ongoing work in Ghana and Jamaica. By bringing together healthcare professionals, volunteers, supplies, and resources, we help provide care to communities where access may otherwise be limited.
Culture + Connection
We believe we have just as much to learn from the communities we serve as we have to offer them. Culture, environment, nutrition, traditions, lifestyle, available resources, and community relationships all influence human health. We listen, observe, and learn from local providers and communities so that the care we provide respects the people and places we are serving—and so those lessons can deepen our understanding of health everywhere.
Education + Sustainable Change
Our goal is for the impact to continue long after a mission ends. Through health education, prevention, collaboration and training with local providers, and investment in sustainable programs and infrastructure, we work alongside communities to create solutions that can grow from within.

Our vision is global, but our responsibility begins at home.
AMORE+ supports underserved communities both locally and around the world, bringing whole-person care, education, and resources to people who may otherwise face barriers to receiving them.
Internationally, our work includes ongoing mission efforts in Ghana and Jamaica, with a growing vision for partnerships and programs throughout Central America and Africa.
At home, we are building toward community-based initiatives in St. Petersburg, Florida, focused on reaching individuals and families who have limited access to quality dental and whole-health care.

The Bigger Vision

Mission trips can change lives—but lasting change requires what happens after the team goes home.
The long-term vision of AMORE+ is to help build sustainable systems of care within the communities we serve. That means developing lasting partnerships, supporting and training local healthcare providers, expanding health education and prevention, and ultimately helping establish permanent clinics and community health resources where they are needed most.
Rather than creating dependence on visiting teams, we want to invest in people and infrastructure that allow communities to continue caring for their own.
Our goal is not simply to serve a community.
It is to strengthen one.
Culture + Connection

At AMORE+, we believe meaningful healthcare begins with understanding people—not simply treating conditions.
Every community has its own culture, environment, traditions, resources, challenges, and ways of understanding health. These factors shape how people eat, live, heal, connect, prevent disease, and care for one another. We believe they should also shape the way we approach care.
Before asking “What can we bring?” we also ask “What can we learn?”
Our teams seek to listen and observe before assuming we know what a community needs. We learn from local healthcare providers, families, community leaders, traditions, lifestyles, environments, and the lived experiences of the people we serve. We then use that understanding to help develop approaches that are culturally respectful, locally relevant, and realistic to sustain.
This exchange also teaches us something much bigger.
By experiencing how people live and approach health across different cultures and environments, we gain a broader understanding of human health itself. We can examine how environment, nutrition, community, lifestyle, traditional practices, access to resources, and modern healthcare intersect—and carry those lessons forward into the way we think about health everywhere we serve.
AMORE+ is not about imposing one model of healthcare on every community.
It is about listening, learning, collaborating, and discovering better ways to care for one another—together.

Meet Our Founder
Dr. Carlie Amore
AMORE+ was founded by Dr. Carlie Amore, a holistic dentist whose experiences serving on healthcare missions transformed the way she thought about access to care—and what it truly means to serve.
After providing dental care to underserved communities in the United States and abroad, including mission work in Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Ghana and Jamaica, Dr. Amore saw both the incredible impact of short-term service and the need for something more sustainable.
She created The Amore Approach Inc Non-Profit to turn that realization into action.
Her vision for AMORE+ extends beyond dentistry: bringing together healthcare professionals, educators, volunteers, organizations, and communities to address health from a whole-person perspective while creating systems that continue to make an impact long after a mission ends.
For Dr. Amore, Amore represents more than her name.
It means love—and AMORE+ is what happens when we put that love into action.
